Island Rec plans to bring back the STAR After-School Program (Study Time & Afternoon Recreation) for K-5th graders this fall.
For the 2021/22 school year we are currently planning to begin STAR in October. Right now we are working to hire for the coordinator position and, because we utilize space at the elementary school for our program, we are waiting just a bit to begin this school year to ensure we understand how to best integrate our program with COVID guidelines during the school year. Once we are ready to go, we will get information out to the community immediately as we know folks are very eager to have childcare after school.
